How do I remove personal data from my Rivian before selling it?
When selling your Rivian to a third party, there will be a period of data overlap while the supporting sales documentation is gathered and processed. To minimize the data visible to the buyer, we recommend you take the following steps to prepare your vehicle for sale.
Log out of Alexa
Go to Settings
Select Apps
Select Alexa
Select Sign Out
Remove favorited locations in your Navigation (with either of these methods)
Go to Navigation
Select Saved Places
Select a destination
Deselect any saved places
Or
Go to Navigation
Select Navigation Settings
Scroll down
Clear Saved Destinations
Erase navigation and search history
Go to Navigation
Select Settings
Scroll down
Clear Searches
Clear Saved Destinations
Clear Recent Destinations
Log out of Spotify
Go to Music
Select the Spotify app
Select the person icon on the upper right of the screen
Select Logout
Disconnect Bluetooth devices
Go to Settings
Select Connect
Select Bluetooth
Select the circle icon with three dots next to the device you'd like to unpair
Select Forget device
Select Confirm
Remove garage door pairing
Go to Settings
Select Connect
Select Garages
Select More to the right of the garage name
Select Remove to delete the garage
Forget Wi-Fi Networks
Go to Settings
Select Connect
Select Wi-Fi
Select Manage Networks
Select the red trash icon next to the Wi-Fi network you'd like to forget
Select Remove
Delete Gear Guard Videos
Select the Gear Guard menu
Select the video you'd like to delete
Select the gray trash icon on the bottom right of the screen
Select Delete video to delete a single recorded video
Select Delete all video events to delete all recorded video
Unpair phone as key
Open the Rivian app on your phone
Pull up the menu and select Drivers and keys
Select the driver you want to interact with
Select phone
Click Delete key to unpair the phone as a key
