How do I buy a pre-owned Rivian?

First, browse our inventory of pre-owned Rivians available now in R1 Shop, which includes the price, options, odometer reading, VIN-specific warranty, buyer’s guide and a vehicle history report. If you don’t see what you want in your area, you can try searching in another zip code, city or state — or contact a Rivian sales advisor.

Once you’ve found the pre-owned vehicle you want to purchase, simply submit your order and pick up your vehicle from the service center within 1-4 weeks. Vehicles are only available for pickup at their indicated location.

What does pre-owned mean?

Pre-owned vehicles are used, which means they’ve been previously loved by one or more owners. Every pre-owned Rivian must pass our 137-point inspection before it can be added to our inventory.

Where are pre-owned Rivians available for purchase?

Accepted Answer

Pre-owned Rivian vehicles are currently only available for purchase in select states, including AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, MA, MO, NV, OR, TN, UT and VA. If you don’t live in one of these states, you may be able to travel out-of-state to pick up your pre-owned vehicle and then register it in your home state. However, there are a few exceptions: Pre-owned vehicles located in California and Massachusetts are not available for out-of-state purchase. Residents of California and Massachusetts cannot purchase a pre-owned vehicle outside of their home state. Residents of Maryland and Nebraska cannot purchase any pre-owned vehicles at this time, either in- or out-of-state. What are the delivery options for pre-owned Rivians?

You must pick up your pre-owned Rivian vehicle at the service center indicated on the listing, and pickup is available 1-4 weeks after you place your order online in R1 Shop.

What accessories are included with a pre-owned Rivian?

Accepted Answer

Every pre-owned Rivian vehicle includes a minimum of one physical key, either key fob or NFC card, and all customers will be able to set up their Phone-As-Key functions at delivery as well. If any other pre-programmed keys are available, they may be included at delivery. You’ll also receive a portable charging cable and Rivian Torch flashlight. All other accessories can be purchased at your local service center, or in Gear Shop.

What’s the warranty and return policy for pre-owned Rivians?

When you purchase a pre-owned Rivian vehicle, it is covered by the remainder of its New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The specific terms of each warranty is determined by the model year and configuration of the vehicle.

Pre-owned Rivians also have a 7 day or 500 mile return policy, whichever comes first. The vehicle must be in the same condition as when delivered, and returns must be made to the same Service Center where you picked up the vehicle.
