How do you safeguard my vehicle data (both on the vehicle and in the Rivian cloud)?

We recognize the critical importance of security and privacy for the vehicle to operate as intended. We apply industry standard techniques to limit vehicle data access to authorized users. Rivian safeguards data on the vehicle in the cloud using state of the art cryptography with hardware and software components. It starts with a hardware root-of-trust and authentication of the code that executes on the vehicle. Every connection between the vehicle and the cloud is encrypted to ensure privacy and authenticity. We implement strong security controls from the beginning of the manufacturing line and throughout the life of the vehicle.
