Do Rivian vehicles contain microphones? If so, when do they record audio, and can users opt out of this collection?
Rivian vehicles have microphones to be able to capture voice input for the in-vehicle voice assistant, hands-free calling, and emergency calling (eCall). These microphones are activated upon hearing the designated wake word (e.g., “Alexa”) or beginning a call. Customers do have an option to disable the in-vehicle voice assistant entirely.
