Frequently Asked Questions
We’re so excited to get more of you behind the wheel and begin meeting you for a drive experience.
We currently offer multiple ways for our customers to experience our vehicles in person — including demo drives at our spaces and Service Centers, or bringing a vehicle to you.
Don't have a reservation but want to take a demo drive? Schedule a drive or contact the Customer Engagement Center at (888) 748-4261 for additional support.
And if we're not in your area yet, you can sign up for our newsletter to follow the journey and be notified when we're offering drives near you.
For demo drive experiences, you’ll receive an invitation to schedule through your Rivian Account when the opportunity is available in your area. During your demo drive, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the vehicle’s acceleration, capabilities and interior features — including materials and in-vehicle navigation.
During mobile drives, you choose the starting point and we bring a Rivian to you. You’ll be guided by one of our Specialists through a vehicle walk-around followed by a 30-minute drive in your area.
During Venice Hub drives, you will have the opportunity to experience a Rivian vehicle on a set route, allowing you to explore a variety of vehicle features. We also have display vehicles on site with additional configurations and accessories.
During a drive from one of our Service Centers, you will experience a Rivian vehicle on a curated, local route and get an in-depth walk-around of the features and options.
Rivian team members will be available at our hubs and Service Centers to help answer your questions about charging, storage and more, before or after your drive appointment — just make sure to check our hours of operation and plan accordingly.

At that time, you can complete any remaining steps to take delivery from your Rivian Account including finalizing your payment method and applying for financing, trading in your current vehicle and completing any remaining documents. When it’s time to make your final payment, you’ll be able to do so directly in your Rivian app.
On delivery day you can track your vehicle’s journey through the Rivian app and upon arrival set it up as a digital key so you can immediately get on the road. To get better acquainted with your vehicle, you can ask a Rivian Field Specialist for a walkthrough or explore on your own time through a guided digital orientation.

A trade-in is used as a credit towards your new Rivian.
Rivian will make a trade-in offer during our online purchasing experience. We accept most makes and models of vehicles as trade-in, though some may require manual review. Rivian can accept only one trade-in vehicle per customer.
These decisions are determined by a combination of user-supplied information, market value and vehicle history. Rivian will collect your trade-in vehicle on delivery day.
