Subscription Terms
Terms applicable to access and use of Rivian’s subscription products and services.

1. Applicability
The Rivian Subscription Terms govern your access and use of certain products, services, features, enhancements, and/or developments available on a subscription basis (“Subscription Services” and each a “Subscription Service”).
2. Customer Agreement
You agree that by using the Subscription Services, you are bound by the Rivian Terms.
The Rivian Terms including the Dispute Resolution – Arbitration, Class Action Waiver Section which requires arbitration on an individual basis to resolve disputes, rather than jury trials or class actions.
3. Subscription Services
Please review the applicable product descriptions on Rivian.com for current summaries of the Subscription Services. The Subscription Services will be made available to you in the form, and for the period, described in those product descriptions, the purchase process for each Subscription Service and these Subscription Terms.
Currently available Subscription Services include:
Connect+
Automatically renewing subscription for streaming media and connectivity features to Rivian vehicles including: in-vehicle hotstpot connectivity, media app streaming, video app streaming, priority software updates, satellite map views, and connected voice assistant (not available in Quebec). Available plans include a monthly subscription for $14.99/month or an annual subscription for $149.99/year starting on the date of your first purchase or the end of any trial period, whichever is later.
We make reasonable efforts to accurately display and describe the features and details of the available Subscription Services, but do not guarantee that such attributes as presented will be accurate, complete, reliable, free of errors. Subscription Services are subject to availability and may be changed, modified or terminated at any time and for any reason. We may refuse any order placed for Subscription Services in our sole direction.
Subscription Services that relate to any Rivian proprietary (Rivian Adventure Network and Rivian Waypoint chargers) or third-party charging services or products are subject to our Charging Terms. Some Subscription Services are provided by or with third parties and may be subject to other terms and conditions, and by selecting those Subscription Services you agree to any referenced terms and conditions.
You agree that Rivian’s Payment Terms apply to all payments made or due related to the Subscription Services. You agree to review Rivian’s Payment Terms before requesting additional cost products or services, and by making such request, you agree to be bound by the Payment Terms. You agree that you are responsible for any and all charges incurred through your Rivian Account. You agree that, even in the event of a dispute, you are nonetheless responsible for prompt and full payment of such incurred charges, some portion of which may be remitted by Rivian if the dispute is resolved in your favor.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information in connection with Subscription Services so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. If you opt-in to any Subscription Services, you (i) agree to pay us the applicable fees in accordance with these terms, (ii) authorize us, through our payment processor, to charge you via your provided payment method, and (iii) agree to such payment(s). Sales tax may be added to our fees as we deem required. Our fees may vary depending on applicable currency.
Some Subscription Services may be offered for free, and others may be subject to a recurring fee. Fees for paid Subscription Services are subject to our Payment Terms and may change at any time upon notice by us, in which event they will be effective as of the next billing cycle unless we provide a later effective date. Fees for Subscription Services, as applicable, will be charged on a recurring basis unless you cancel or change your Subscription Service(s) in accordance with these terms, at then-posted fees. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT WE MAY SUBMIT APPLICABLE PERIODIC CHARGES FOR ANY SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES YOU OPT INTO WITHOUT FURTHER AUTHORIZATION FROM YOU, UNTIL WE RECEIVE PRIOR NOTICE THAT YOU HAVE TERMINATED THIS AUTHORIZATION OR WISH TO CHANGE YOUR SELECTED SERVICES OR PAYMENT METHOD, WHICH MAY NOT BE APPLIED UNTIL THE NEXT AVAILABLE BILLING PERIOD. We will notify you via email in advance of subscription renewals (if applicable), and you can generally access your payment history and modify/cancel available services from your Rivian Account or by contacting us. We may cancel Subscription Service when we learn of a vehicle’s change of ownership, but do not guarantee to do so and you should cancel your subscription in connection with any such transaction. We may correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment, and you authorize us to do so. ALL FEES PAID FOR SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES, INCLUDING RECURRING CHARGES, ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel the Subscription Services at any time through the Rivian App, the Rivian vehicle, the Rivian Site, by contacting Rivian customer service at customerservice@rivian.com, or by calling 1-888-RIVIAN1. If you cancel in advance of your subscription renewal date (“Subscription End Date”), you will continue to have access to the Subscription Services until the Subscription End Date.
6. Vehicle Wireless Connectivity
Rivian vehicles are internet connected vehicles and Rivian may, at its discretion, make enhanced vehicle connectivity options available to you to provide certain enhanced infotainment or other connected services (“Enhanced Connectivity Services”) as part of the Rivian Subscription Services. You acknowledge and agree that your access to and/or use of any Enhanced Connectivity Services is subject to the Rivian Terms and the Rivian Data Privacy Notice, as applicable.
Further, with respect to any use, purchase, lease, rental or other access to a Rivian vehicle, you understand and agree that you: (1) have no contractual relationship with the underlying wireless service carrier; (2) are not a third party beneficiary of any agreement between Rivian and the underlying carrier; (3) that the underlying carrier has no liability of any kind to you, whether for breach of contract, warranty, negligence, strict liability in tort or otherwise; (4) that data transmissions and messages may be delayed, deleted or not delivered, and 911 or similar emergency calls may not be completed; and (5) the underlying carrier cannot guarantee the security of wireless transmissions and will not be liable for any lack of security relating to the use of the services.
THE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES RELY ON THE OPERATION AND FUNCTIONALITY OF A THIRD PARTY WIRELESS SERVICE CARRIER NETWORK. INTERRUPTIONS MAY SOMETIMES OCCUR DUE TO NETWORK OUTAGES, INFRASTRUCTURE MALFUNCTIONS OR OTHER DISRUPTIONS (“DISRUPTION”) FROM THE WIRELESS SERVICE CARRIER NETWORK. RIVIAN MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY AS TO THE AVAILABILITY OF THE WIRELESS SERVICE CARRIER'S NETWORK. IN THE CASE OF A DISRUPTION, RIVIAN SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE INTERRUPTION OR LACK OF AVAILABILITY OF OUR SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES AND DISCLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES, DAMAGES OR INCONVENIENCES THAT MAY OCCUR. OUR RIVIAN CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM IS AVAILABLE TO ASSIST WITH ANY CONCERNS AND DOCUMENT ANY ISSUES THAT YOU MAY ENCOUNTER. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE DISRUPTIONS BEING OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTROL, RIVIAN IS NOT ABLE TO ISSUE REFUNDS, CREDITS, OR EXTENSIONS FOR ANY INTERRUPTIONS OR TEMPORARY PERIODS OF NON-SERVICE.
7. In-Vehicle Wireless Hotspot
You acknowledge and agree that your access to or use of the in-vehicle wireless hotspot capabilities as part of any Subscription Services is subject to AT&T’s Wi-Fi Terms & Conditions at att.com/USTermsandconditions and Privacy Policy at att.com/privacy. You also are aware that AT&T’s network management practices are available at att.com/broadbandinfo.
8. Pricing
Certain of the Subscription Services may be presented to you as “free,” “free trial”, “no cost,” “complimentary”, or other similar descriptions. If used, such terms are intended to indicate that no charge will be made to the Payment Method (as defined in the Payment Terms) you have on file in the Rivian Wallet (as defined in the Payment Terms) for the designated period. For the avoidance of doubt, the fact that no charge is made to your payment method(s) does not relieve you of (1) your obligations to conform to the various terms and conditions that are applicable to the Subscription Services or (2) any liabilities that you may have based on your misuse of, damage to or destruction of a Rivian product or service.
9. License Grant and Restrictions
Subject to the requirement of these terms and conditions, Rivian hereby grants to you, through your access or use of the Subscription Services, a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive, limited license to use such Subscription Services for your own personal purposes. This license does not grant you any other rights in any software, services, products or related intellectual property that is related to the Subscription Services (“Rivian’s Content”). Except as expressly authorized by Rivian, you agree not to use, sell, license, rent, modify, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, or otherwise distribute Rivian’s Content. Rivian’s Content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, regulations and treaties around the world. All such rights under these laws are fully reserved by Rivian.
10. Privacy
The information you provide to Rivian will be used in accordance with Rivian’s Data Privacy Notice, which is incorporated herein by reference. Please read our Data Privacy Notice carefully to understand Rivian’s practices regarding your information and how it will be treated. 11. Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN (SUCH AS LIMITED WARRANTIES) OR PROHIBITED BY LAW, ALL SERVICES DESCRIBED HEREIN ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," AND RIVIAN HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTIES’ RIGHTS. RIVIAN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT THEIR OPERATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS IN THE SERVICES WILL BE CORRECTED, AND ANY RISK ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES REMAINS WITH YOU.
