Autonomy+ Upgrade
Autonomy+¹ is an optional upgrade that is available on our latest vehicles and features an even broader set of enhanced capabilities.
Option | Cost |
Subscription | $49.99/month |
One-time purchase | $2,500 |
Note: In the event of ownership transfer, a one-time purchase of Autonomy+ stays with the vehicle.
Universal Hands-Free²
Enjoy hands-free assisted driving on 3.5 million miles of roads in the US and Canada. You'll see the Universal Hands-Free icon near the speedometer when driving on roads with clearly marked lanes. Simply pull the drive stalk towards you twice to activate and drive hands-free.
Lane Change on Command³
Easily find gaps in traffic and change lanes. Just turn on your blinker with Universal Hands-Free engaged and let your vehicle take it from there.³
Point to Point
Point to Point takes our Universal Hands-Free capability to the next level by integrating it directly into your route navigation. Instead of just managing the road ahead, your Rivian now follows your active turn-by-turn directions, handling supervised turns, highway transitions, and city streets to take you seamlessly from driveway to destination.
Powered by a 360-degree multi-modal sensor array and Rivian’s Large Driving Model (LDM), Point to Point turns hands-free assisted driving into true door-to-door navigation so you can arrive refreshed and relaxed.
Point to Point will roll out to participants of the Autonomy Early Access Program in December and to all Autonomy+ subscribers at a later date.
Autonomy+ Trial period
If you didn’t include Autonomy+ to your order, you’ll receive a 60-day trial that starts on delivery day.
At the end of the trial, you’ll have the option to add Autonomy+ to your vehicle as a monthly subscription or one-time purchase. You can also use Rivian Rewards you’ve earned towards a one-time purchase. Learn more in your Rivian account.
Autonomy Early Access Program
The Autonomy Early Access Program is an invitation-only program that puts next-generation Autonomy features into the hands of real owners, in real driving conditions, before they ever reach a general release. The first feature participants will test is Point to Point autonomy, targeted for delivery in December.
All owners with an active Autonomy+ subscription can indicate their interest to join the Autonomy Early Access Program by applying through their Rivian account. Invitations go to a limited group of owners with an active Autonomy+ subscription, high Autonomy feature usage, and a clean recent safety record. Owners who are not selected will not receive a rejection email.
Selected owners will not be paid for their participation. Safety and participation are re-verified every 30 days, and membership in the program can be revoked at Rivian's discretion at any time.
At launch, this program will be available in California and Florida, with additional locations planned for a later date. Interested owners will not need to reapply if the program expands to their region. Owners in Canada are not eligible to participate at this time.
¹ Rivian Autonomy+ features are designed to support the driver but do not replace a driver’s judgment or the need to pay attention and control the vehicle. Drivers should be prepared to resume control of the vehicle at all times.
² Universal Hands-Free will not stop or slow down for traffic lights or stop signs. Review the Owner's Guide for additional details about this feature.
³ Lane Change on Command is now available on more roads, not just freeways.
