How are you prioritizing R2 order invitations?
Starting June 9, 2026 we’ll begin sending batches of order invitations to US-based R2 reservation holders, and continue on a rolling basis as deliveries ramp up.
When you receive an order invitation, you’ll be able to finalize the options for your R2 and confirm your order. Once confirmed, you can expect to take delivery in 2-6 weeks. You can order whenever you are ready, however models, options and pricing can change based on availability. Your configuration and pricing are not locked until you confirm your order.
The primary factors that determine when you’ll receive your invite are your reservation timestamp and delivery location. Areas surrounding Rivian Service + Demo Centers will generally receive invitations sooner as this allows us to deliver vehicles more quickly in the early ramp.
Additional priority factors:
R1 Owners: Current Rivian owners will receive accelerated delivery timing, balanced alongside deliveries to non-owners to keep the line moving for everyone.
Expiring Leases: If your lease is ending soon, you can enter your expiring lease information in your Rivian Account and we'll factor that in where we can. For Rivian leases, no need to take any action, we've already got you covered.
Certain reservation holders may be selected at random with an early order invitation. This will help us refine our timing estimates so that everyone can benefit from a clear and transparent purchase process moving forward.
