How do I upgrade my phone key to digital key?
Rivian Digital Key takes advantage of ultra-wideband technology in our latest vehicles to allow vehicle access using your device's wallet app. Existing owners will be notified in the Rivian app when their device is ready to upgrade.
To use Rivian Digital Key, you’ll need:
A model year 2025+ Rivian vehicle with software version 2025.46 or later
Rivian app version 3.8.0 or later
A compatible device (iOS 18.5 or newer, Android 15 or newer)
How do I share a digital key with other drivers?
Using your device’s digital wallet, you can share vehicle access with up to seven (7) other drivers. Once accepted, other drivers can use their digital key to lock, unlock and start the vehicle and may link their digital key with the Rivian app for additional functionality.
How do I add a digital key to Apple Watch?
Once you have a digital key in your Apple Wallet, it can be added to your Apple Watch.
