HV Battery Under Torqued Fasteners
Rivian Automotive, LLC has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 14 2027 Model Year R2 vehicles.
What is the problem?
Rivian has determined that certain model year 2027 R2 vehicles may have an improperly torqued fastener connected to the high-voltage battery, potentially causing loss of motive power.
Rivian is not aware of any customer reports, accidents, injuries, or fatalities related to this condition.
What will Rivian do?
All affected vehicles are already at Rivian Service Centers being inspected to properly torque the fastener or replace damaged components at no cost to customers.

Rivian has proactively contacted all customers whose vehicles are included in this recall.
