Do I need an adapter?

Model year 2022-2025 Rivian vehicles have a CCS charge port and can charge natively with chargers that use the same connector. These vehicles require a NACS DC adapter to charge from a fast charging station with a NACS connector type, such as a Tesla Supercharger.

Starting in model year 2026 and onward, Rivian vehicles come with a NACS charge port and can charge natively with chargers that use the same connector. These vehicles require a CCS1 DC adapter to charge from a fast charging station with a CCS connector type, such as an Electrify America charger.

Do not attempt to use a DC adapter with an AC charger.
