How do I start an OTA update?

Rivians are made to get better with time through over-the-air (OTA) software updates that enable new features and improvements. When a new software update becomes available, you’ll receive a notification on your vehicle's center display and in the Rivian app to start installing the update.

To view available software updates and update your automatic installation settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Updates on your center display, or visit the Updates section of the Rivian app

During an update, your vehicle will be inoperable and needs to be parked and have a minimum level of battery range. The duration of the update may vary, but most updates finish in about an hour.
