What is covered by Rivian Care?

When does my coverage start?

It depends on what you buy.

Rivian Care pricing accounts for how much Rivian New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage your vehicle has left. Buying coverage when you buy your Rivian secures favorable rates.

How often does Rivian Care cover the same part?

Rivian Care covers a given part once. If a covered part fails or breaks during your Rivian Care term, it will be repaired or replaced. If that same part fails or breaks again during the term, Rivian Care no longer covers it.

After a part is replaced, Rivian's Service Parts Limited Warranty applies. Rivian warrants the original new and remanufactured service parts it sells for consumer products against defects that Rivian finds in materials or workmanship. This warranty lasts 24 months from the date of sale.

Example. A part already replaced once by Rivian Care isn't covered again by Rivian Care or by Rivian's New Vehicle Limited Warranty. It is covered by Rivian's Service Parts Limited Warranty if it fails within 24 months of the date it was replaced.

Exceptions. Certain parts, including headlamp bulbs and electrical components, may be eligible for unlimited replacements during your Rivian Care term, as outlined in your service contract.

What isn't covered?

Terms, limitations, and exclusions apply. Your service contract has the complete details. Examples from the program terms:

Tire and wheel coverage (PVP) excludes damage caused by normal wear and tear.
Paintless dent repair (PVP) excludes dents over 4 inches.
Windshield protection (PVP) excludes cracks over 6 inches.
State restrictions. Some PVP coverage isn't available in certain states. See "Where is Rivian Care available?" above.
Repeat failures. Rivian Care covers a part once, with the exceptions described under "How often does Rivian Care cover the same part?" above.
Replacement parts may be new, used, non-OEM, or remanufactured.
Vehicles not enrolled. Your vehicle has no Rivian Care coverage until you enroll.

Vehicle Service Contract coverage is secondary to the Rivian New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and coverage periods may overlap.¹
