What is Rivian’s global vehicle support policy?
If your Rivian is in a country or region that is part of Rivian's spaces and service centers and supports your vehicle's homologation, the vehicle is within its warranty region (core market). This includes the United States (excluding Alaska) and Canada.
As Rivian expands globally, we may enter new markets. However, Rivian reserves the right to exclude certain regions, including Outermost Regions (ORs), Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs), or jurisdictions subject to restrictions.
Rivian does not sell vehicles to individuals or entities in—nor does it provide service support in—any country or region subject to U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, United Nations Security Council sanctions, European Union sanctions, or other trade restrictions or embargoes.
What's included in the warranty region?
When your vehicle is located in a supported market, and subject to compliance with local regulations, you may receive the following services under Rivian’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty Guide.
Vehicle Service and Warranty: You'll have access to our authorized service centers for any vehicle services or warranty repair needs.
Connectivity, Infotainment and Remote Diagnostics: Your vehicle will receive periodic over-the-air updates that include new features and improvements.
Recall Notices: We'll keep you informed of any necessary recall notices to ensure your vehicle's safety and performance.
Mobile Service and Roadside Assistance: We offer both mobile service and roadside assistance to help you when you need it most, though mobile service availability can vary by location.
Service Parts: It is possible to purchase non-restricted service parts directly over the counter. Please keep in mind that not all service locations will have every part in stock for all models, and local VAT will apply.
Emergency SOS: Your vehicle is equipped with an SOS button on the overhead console. Press the SOS button to reach a 24/7 national call center that assesses the situation, routes your call appropriately, and dispatches help if necessary. If the vehicle detects that a significant collision has occurred, it automatically initiates an SOS call.
If your vehicle is outside the warranty region
If your vehicle is operated or located outside Rivian’s established service and support regions (including unsupported countries or jurisdictions), please be aware some features and support capabilities may be impacted.
You might experience limitations with:

Mobile Service & Roadside Assistance, which are not available in regions outside the vehicle’s warranty region
Should your vehicle require warranty repairs or service, it will need to be transported³ to a Rivian Service Center in its intended homologated country or market. Please be aware that the cost of this transportation will be the owner's responsibility.
¹ Recalls
Recalls are an important safety issue which Rivian will handle with great care and precision. Regardless of location, all Rivian owners will continue to receive all necessary recall notices. In order for Rivian to perform a recall repair, the vehicle must be returned to its intended homologated market or region.
Owners outside of Rivian’s Warranty Region(s) must contact Rivian for a recall service appointment to determine the best location to perform the repairs. While the repairs during a recall are often free of charge, owners are responsible for all transportation costs associated with returning the vehicle to its intended market.
² Service parts
Parts requests will be examined on a case by case basis. We may be able to ship them from a parts distribution center, but all shipments will be subject to local customs and regulations. Owners are responsible for shipment and importation costs.
³ Transportation of your vehicle
Owners are responsible for all costs related to transporting a vehicle to its intended homologated market or region:
Organizing transport that includes the correct import/export documents (including VAT, custom duties, other fees and taxes associated with import and export). Rivian will decline vehicles that are brought into Service without these documents.
Prior to organizing the transport, owners must contact Rivian for a service appointment. Rivian will determine which location is best suited for the service request. Rivian will decline vehicles that are brought into Service without a service appointment.
Owners must inform Rivian about the service history when third parties (such as other workshops or collision centers) worked on the vehicle. For safety reasons, we will determine if the vehicle can be received by our Service location. Rivian can stop repairs at any time if we determine there was third party involvement, and it is no longer safe to work on the vehicle.
Prior to organizing vehicle exportation, all costs for the repair must be paid.
Rivian cannot guarantee servicing out-of-market vehicles due to the difference in homologation
