What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication is a security measure requiring two methods of identity verification when logging in - your Rivian account password plus a one-time password. This adds another layer of protection over your personal information and vehicle access, and is available to all Rivian customer accounts.
Starting December 13, 2024, we will require the use of two-factor authentication during the login process to your Rivian account and Rivian app.
The security and privacy of customer data is critically important to Rivian. As technology continues to advance and threat actors become more sophisticated, we want to proactively take steps to protect our customers’ data.
Enable two-factor authentication settings from your Account page or in the Rivian app (Profile > Security > Two-factor authentication).
