Hello, Vancouver

Our first space in Canada

EventsInside Rivian
Hello, Vancouver

Our newest space and first international location opened last week in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The space builds on our existing presence in the area and is situated just a few miles from our Vancouver office and local Service Center enabling local families, friends, owners and preorder holders to meet our team, ask questions, and experience the R1T and R1S firsthand.

Beyond the space itself, our team also took time to explore the surrounding area with the community, continuing the fun from our recent opening in NYC. We supported a local cycling club on a 50km adventure to Iona Beach, joined the Left Coast Rivian Club for a meet-up at Spanish Banks Beach, and powered a band out of the R1 at the Squamish Farmers Market.

As we continue to grow our community in Vancouver and other cities, we hope to meet many more of you in person. Visit us in a location near you.

Experience any vehicle configuration on demand.

The Vancouver space provides a comprehensive look at Rivian vehicles — visitors can touch and explore R1T and R1S, and sign up for demo drives. Color and material samples are on display to show the wide range of customization options, and once selected, any configuration of our vehicles can be visualized on demand through our augmented reality (AR) experience.

Outfitted with an AR headset, visitors can walk around a full-size R1T or R1S, configured with any available combination of colors and materials. While exploring the exterior and interior of the vehicle in AR, the experience can also demonstrate interactive features, including locking and unlocking of the vehicle, opening the doors, frunk or gear tunnel, making the experience as close to the real thing as possible.

“The AR execution you can experience in this space is the same technology our design team uses to design Rivians.”
Tony Caravano, Rivian Senior Director of Customer Engagement

Discovering the beauty of British Columbia

Inspired by dream roadtrip conversations with visitors at the space, we took an R1T for a quick trip up the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Navigating each curve, we savored views of Canada's North Coast. Needless to say, we're enchanted by all the possible adventures this beautiful place enables.

Along for the ride

We rode with 40 riders, including Rivian employees, on their 50km journey from a local café to Iona Beach, and supported riders with flat tires along the route. At the destination, we served cold drinks and snacks out of the R1T and celebrated with music on the camp speaker.

“We want to go off-roading, do some drives, go to the beach, have dinners and meetups, organize community and environmental events — there’s so much we can do as a community.”
Jamie McCrindle, Founder of the Left Coast Rivian Club

Building Rivian community in Canada

The evening before the official opening, Rivian owners and preorder holders got a sneak preview of the space at a special “housewarming” event. Many of those that gathered are members of the newly formed Left Coast Rivian ClubOpens in new tab, soon to be a chapter of the Rivian Clubs of AmericaOpens in new tab, which also had representatives in attendance for the opening.

Following the sneak preview of the space, the Left Coast Rivian Club rode together in an electric caravan to Spanish Banks, a beach park in Vancouver, for an evening of games, conversation and a picnic dinner that included some tailgate cooking — owners made grilled cheese sandwiches, ice cream and popcorn to share, all powered by their R1s.

We look forward to many more adventures like these in British Columbia, and to meeting more our community alongside the opening of new Rivian spaces.

Upcoming spaces include locations in Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Brooklyn, Austin, Laguna Beach and Yosemite.
