How do I connect my Rivian Wall Charger to Wi-Fi?
Connecting your Rivian Wall Charger to Wi-Fi allows it to receive over-the-air updates to improve performance and functionality. Wi-Fi connection also allows your Wall Charger to communicate diagnostic information when troubleshooting with Rivian Customer Service.
To connect your Wall Charger to Wi-Fi, follow the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Pair to Bluetooth
Open the Rivian App on your phone
Tap the icon at the top of the main screen, and choose “Add Gear”
Choose “Wall Charger”
Begin following the on-screen instructions, starting with resetting your circuit breaker
After resetting your circuit breaker, stand next to your Wall Charger and make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is on – then swipe up on the screen to start the pairing process. It may take up to 2 minutes for the Wall Charger to be discovered over Bluetooth.
The Rivian app will display “Found a charger” when it has successfully located your Wall Charger.
Tap “Start Pairing” to finish the Bluetooth pairing process
Once the Wall Charger is paired, it will automatically connect to your Rivian Account and is ready to be connected to Wi-Fi
Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi
Tap “Connect to Wi-Fi” to begin the Wi-Fi connection process
Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter your network password. If you are unable to connect to your Wi-Fi network or do not see your network name in the list of available networks, please ensure that:
Your network is broadcasting on a 2.4 Ghz band
Your network name does not contain any spaces or special characters
When you see the “Setup Complete” screen, your Wall Charger is now connected to Wi-Fi and your Rivian account. To access your Wall Charger, tap the icon at the top of the Rivian app home page, and select the Wall Charger from the “Vehicles and Gear” pop out menu.
In the Rivian app, you can:
