RIVIAN LAUNCHES RENEWABLE EV CHARGING IN GEORGIA STATE PARKS

Rivian joined officials from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Georgia Power today to unveil Rivian Waypoints chargers at Tallulah Gorge State Park. These Level 2 chargers are powered by 100 percent clean energy, so park visitors will now have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with zero emissions.

In addition to Tallulah Gorge, we’ll soon be opening chargers at Fort Yargo, Cloudland Canyon, High Falls and Skidaway Island state parks, as well as Wormsloe Historic Site. These chargers will be open to all EVs, improving recreational access for everyone.

“If you have not driven or peeked inside one of these vehicles, I would tell you to do that today. It's an amazing piece of American manufacturing and innovation that will sell itself.”
Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp

“This partnership represents two things of great significance to Rivian: our commitment to zero-emission outdoor adventure and our deepening partnership with Georgia. Rivian will bring jobs, technology and investment to Georgia, as well as some fun.”

Georgia is the fifth state to announce a statewide parks charging program with Rivian. Look for more Rivian Waypoints chargers in the state parks of Tennessee, Colorado, Michigan and South Carolina.

“The state park charging program is about convenient EV charging to those adventuring in America’s most beautiful recreational areas.”
