After meeting RJ at a Rivian community gathering in New York, we invited Will and Blake – eighth-graders and hosts of their Next Generation podcastOpens in new tab – to visit us in Normal, Illinois during their summer break. They toured our manufacturing facility and recorded an interview with RJ and his son Pete.
RJ answered questions about the beginnings of Rivian, shared career advice with the next generation of entrepreneurs, and discussed the people that inspire him most. When asked about what it takes to build a company, RJ emphasized the importance of hard work and relentless optimism.
