How the Rivian spinoff is turning every trip into an adventure

National Bike Month Spotlight: ALSO

May is National Bike Month: a time to celebrate cycling, inspire ridership among the uninitiated, and show what life can look like when we opt for two wheels instead of four.

What better time to meet the brand making it easier than ever: ALSOOpens in new tab. Originally incubated within Rivian1, ALSO is leading the small EV revolution starting with its flagship product, an ebike called the TM-B.

A smaller vehicle for smaller adventures

As Rivian drivers and fans, we seek adventure in its grandest forms. But what about the smaller trips that fill our everyday lives? Think visits to the grocery store, afterschool errands, and weekend outings in between. With ALSO, these moments become fresh opportunities for the adventures we crave, optimized for our daily routines.

As the only ebike with Rivian DNA, ALSO’s TM-B is designed to modern EV standards. The resulting experience is a vehicle that unlocks greater connection to yourself, your community, and a world full of moments free from the frustrations of parking and gridlock.

Testing a philosophy at Camp ALSO

ALSO recently put its core ideas and product to the test during Camp ALSO—a five-day event in the Bay Area, where a group of 16 new ALSO teammates departed Palo Alto together on TM-Bs, rode north with the bikes on public transit, then coasted onto a ferry bound for Sausalito before making it to their destination in Mill Valley, 47 miles north of their original starting point. The goal? See what magic can unfold when you put a team of near strangers on bikes—with no cars—together for a week of learning.

What happened next was nothing short of the ALSO philosophy at its best.

Five days of microadventures, fresh air, connection, and exploration. Maybe not as far as a truck, or as fast as a car, but deeper, intentional, and a thousand times more sensory. The mission was a success, and the team returned feeling energized and ready to bring the new ALSO Test Spin program to ten cities nationwide, starting this month.

Enough tech to power the dream

There are a lot of barriers keeping people from incorporating bikes and ebikes into their daily lives, and ALSO is knocking them down by bringing modern EV comforts and innovation to the TM-B experience. A few highlights include:

USB-C battery with up to 100 miles of range
0.3G acceleration—the same as a car off the line
Hill-flattening power to take riders up 30% grades
Up to 10 levels of pedal amplification
Built in navigation, audio integration, turn signals, lights, and anti-theft
High-res touchscreen display that connects to the ALSO app
