How do I clear my personal data before selling my vehicle?
To ensure a smooth ownership transfer process, please take the following steps to when selling your vehicle:
Use the ‘Clear Settings’ function on your vehicle’s touchscreen to remove personal information and preferences from your vehicle (Settings > Vehicle > Service > Clear Settings).
Remove vehicle ownership from your Rivian App (Profile > Manage account > Vehicle ownership).
Contact Rivian to initiate the process to transfer digital ownership of the vehicle.
Note: Once completed, clearing settings and removing vehicle ownership from your Rivian app cannot be undone. Clear Settings does not delete any information (e.g., historical vehicle telemetry data) stored on the Rivian cloud.
