What can I expect during a demo drive?

The best way to familiarize yourself with R1T and R1S is to book a demo drive at one of our spaces or service centers. During your drive appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the vehicle's performance, capabilities and features — including materials and in-vehicle navigation, on a set route. 
 In the interest of everyone's safety:  You must be 21 or older to drive a vehicle. You're required to sign a general liability waiver on-site before driving a vehicle. Any guest under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat that must be installed by the guest driving the vehicle. Specifics are subject to local jurisdiction.
 We also have display vehicles with additional configurations and accessories, and Rivian team members will be available to help answer your questions about charging, storage and more — before or after your drive appointment.

Question 2

Can I bring a guest to my demo drive?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! In addition to you and your Rivian Specialist, you can add up to three guests for an R1T demo drive and up to five guests for an R1S demo drive. Make sure to add any guests to your reservation in your Rivian Account prior to your scheduled appointment. Time permitting, additional guests with a valid driver's license may have the chance to drive as well.   If bringing children, a parent or guardian must be present to sign the experience waiver and provide booster or child seats in accordance with state law.

Can I reschedule my demo drive reservation?

We understand that things come up. You're welcome to reschedule your demo drive at any time through your Rivian Account, pending availability.   You can also get in touch or call (888) RIVIAN1 if you require any additional support.

Question 4

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

We love pets, but at this time, only service dogs are permitted at our demo drives.

Question 5

Is Canada included in the demo drive program?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You’ll receive an invitation to schedule through your Rivian Account when the opportunity is available in your area.   Don’t have a vehicle order? You can check availability and self-schedule a drive at a Rivian space or Service Center any time.

When can I demo drive the R2, R3 and R3X?

Accepted Answer

We’re just as excited about these vehicles as you and working on expanding our demo drives as new products launch. For now, only the R1S and R1T are available to demo drive. Look out for updates.
