For a limited time, Launch Package is included with R2 Performance, giving you access to the versatile engineering, everyday comfort and adventure-ready utility of our flagship trim — plus exclusive features for our earliest R2 owners.
What is Launch Package?
R2 deliveries will begin later this spring with our Performance trim. This dual-motor AWD variant boasts a staggering 656 horsepower and 609 lb-ft of torque,1 capable of launching R2 from 0–60 mph in as quick as 3.6 seconds1. It delivers a dynamic driving experience with a connected-to-the-road feel through a low center of gravity enabled by its structural battery pack.
This foundation is enhanced by semi-active suspension that delivers superior handling and precision across both on-and off-road terrain and a softer, more comfortable ride. You can also take advantage of R2’s 4,400-lbs of towing capacity with the included tow package that’s ready to haul your trailer or boat.

A Curated Palette
We’re bringing back Launch Green as an exterior paint option for a limited time with Launch Package.
Born during early R1 development days, Launch Green was inspired by the e-coat process — the electrostatic layer every Rivian receives before its final color. It holds significance as Rivian’s debut color and handshake with the world, making its return for R2 even more special.
R2 Performance with Launch Package comes standard with our all-new Esker Silver, but there will be an array of colors to choose from. In addition to the option of Launch Green, customers can select all-new Catalina Cove, all-new Half Moon Grey, Glacier White, and Midnight exterior colors. Forest Green will also be available later.
On the inside, customers can choose between two all-new premium interiors:
Black Crater Signature (available first) Inspired by the dynamic dark tones of volcanic rock, this interior is crafted with upcycled Birch wood and textile accents. This creates an inviting, dark tonal environment that seamlessly blends rugged durability with a refined, minimalist aesthetic.
Coastal Cloud Signature (available later) Open and airy, the crisp tones of cool and cloudy coastal sky are warmed with upcycled Birch wood and soft textile accents. This palette offers a modern aesthetic that is grounded in Rivian’s nature-inspired design language.
We’re also offering a limited-edition key fob in Rivian Green anodized aluminum, which evolved from Launch Green, as a celebration of where we’ve been and where we’re going.

Launch Package includes access to all our Autonomy+ features for the lifetime of the vehicle1, which includes our Universal Hands-Free1 driving on over 3.5 million miles of roads across the U.S. and Canada.1
This means you can enjoy hands-free convenience on nearly any road you travel, not just on a small fraction of pre-mapped highways. With Universal Hands-Free engaged, you can also take advantage of Lane Change on Command1 which automatically finds gaps in traffic and changes lanes on divided highways. Every Rivian comes standard with a system that continuously evolves with each software update, getting smarter right from your driveway to offer a sophisticated, hands-free experience.
